Our Mission

We aim to facilitate farmer education & resources, community activations, forest preservation, and more, in the Amazon region…

To move together…

Towards ecological balance & more regenerative agricultural practices…

For the wellness of this vital ecosystem…

And for the preservation of our Amazonía’s ineffable old growth forests…

Goal One: More Togetherness for our Farming Communities

Without community collaboration it can be difficult for a farm to transition their land. The biology of the ecosystem at large - ie neighboring farm practices - will have an effect. Through farm community outreach and activations, accessible educational programs, and financial assistance, Amazon Healing aims to be a conduit towards optimum health of farmlands and their surrounding forests, in the Amazon region.

Goal Two: Preservation of Old Growth Amazon Forests through Community Discovery and Art

“Deforestration in Brazil’s Amazon totaled 430 square kilometers (166 square miles) in January 2022, five times higher than the year prior, according to preliminary satellite data from government space research agency.” (-Reuters)

Too often, land owners feel forced to monetize old growth forest, by sadly exterminating them and their vital biodiversity… the lungs of our planet.

Within the process of photosynthesis, trees sequester carbon from our atmosphere, and provide oxygen. They improve our air quality, preserve soil health, and balance the climate.

Through collaborative research & education, financial assistance, and creative strategy, Amazon Healing aims to find alternative ways to preserve forests, by creating various eco-lodging projects and immersive forest art installations.

Goal Three: Amazon Healing Education & Research Center

Our founder, Fernando Castillo manages a 1,000 hectare farm (of which 300 hectares are prime rainforest) in the heart of the Amazon region, in Ecuador. We’d like to preserve his old growth forests and convert his farmlands and those surrounding, to all regeneratively organic. In the process, we aim to create a permaculture educational hub with eco-lodging for our global community to participate, learn, grow, and work together for a more sustainable future. We hope to heal not only Fernando’s land, but the land of surrounding neighbors and the greater Amazon region.
