Meet the Founders & Executive Board

 
Fernando Castillo
  • Quito, Ecuador

    Originally from Puerto Rico, and a lawyer by trade, Fernando is a farmer, entrepreneur, father, and environmentalist living in Ecuador. There, he is President of the Ecuadorian Tea Company, where he owns a 1,000 hectare farm of tea and organic yellow dragonfruit, of which 300 hectares is prime rainforest.

    Constantly looking for ways to convert his tea farm into a totally sustainable operation, Fernando realizes the key to success is through greater community activation, and hopes that Amazon Healing will be integral to the region’s ecological wellness and preservation.

    Becky is a versatile creative executive producer, environmentalist, mother, and meditation teacher.

    Known as a passionate in the non-profit space, Becky is also Co-Creator of Grammy award winning ‘For the Birds: The Birdsong Project’. She is an advocate for Kiss the Ground, and is certified in ‘Human Rights and the Environment’ from the United Nations. The Amazon rainforest, and its community farmers and families hold a very special space in RR’s heart!

    For the last 20 years Sean has helped brands strategically decode complex business problems into simple, human terms. Today, he leads the Strategy group at Battery, an LA-based creative agency in the Havas network, working with brands like Discord, Netflix, Land O Lakes, and the Royal Bank of Canada.

    Previously, Sean served as Partner, Chief Strategy Officer at Omelet, setting the company’s strategic vision, managing a world-class staff of thinkers, strategists, planners and analysts, and leading all growth, corporate development, and marketing efforts. Client partners included Walmart, HBO, Sony, and NBC Universal.

    Sean was born in Quito, Ecuador, where Amazon Healing is headquartered.

 
  • Pedro is a professional in marketing and advertising field, with extensive personal and business relationships . He has developed various strategic ad campaigns and seminars, and has won multiple awards internationally. He is passionate about activating wellness in the Amazon bioregion for the farmers, forests, and their communities.

  • Quito, Ecuador

    Having a previously successful twenty five year corporate career in food and beverage, Mayra transitioned to becoming a farmer. She is focused on permaculture activism and biodiversity, and is developing further knowledge in regenerative agriculture, and agroecology. At her ‘Finca El Reencuerntro’ located in Palora, she developed an agroforestry system. She is further undertaking niches in organic projects with export projections, recycling, reuse and marketing of products of popular and solidarity economy networks.
